I don’t exist yet! (On Google)
by admin on Dec.19, 2008, under Uncategorized
Weird.
On Google, it seems that my site does not yet exist. This is probably because google is yet to “find” my site, given that I started it only four days ago. But still, it’s kinda scary to know that if someone looks for me, that I will not show up on a Google search. So if you’re reading this post, today or in the next few days, please bookmark it if you want to find it again. Otherwise, there will probably be no way to ever find this again. Then again, if you did find this, it is probably on one of the search engines, so that is really not a problem. I wrote this post mainly to make sure that I don’t get atrophied from not writing here often enough, since there is not really much else to write about currently. Oh well.
[Edit: This is no longer true, but it is still funny!]
F-Zero GX Strategy
by admin on Dec.17, 2008, under Other games
Hello.
More on F-Zero GX. Strategy, this time. The biggest thing is that you can never, ever, ever, crash into a wall. This will drain your energy and cut your speed alot. The L and R shoulder buttons will let you corner tighter, and pressing both together will let you drift. On jumps, it is usually best to go down by pressing the analog stick up. If you try to go up, you will stall out and lose speed. That is very bad. After lap 2, you get a boost by using the Y key. Note that this will drain your energy. If you run out of energy, you will die. The key part of this game is to conserve your momentum. To do this, it is important to not hit the wall or other cars. On harder routes, you must avoid the edge at all costs, because there are no longer walls in all areas! All in all, this is a very hard game compared to most racing games today.
Good Luck!
F-Zero GX, A Review
by admin on Dec.16, 2008, under Other games
Hello! First post!
First, a little introduction on F-Zero GX. It is a racing game, made in 2003 by nintendo for the gamecube. This series began with the first F-Zero for the Super NES, wich set a high standard for future racing games. This is the fourth installment in the series, with updated graphics and a the car editor from F-Zero X.
Gameplay 7/10 Nothing praticularly different was done here, but the gameplay is still very solid.
Graphics 9/10 Very pretty, praticularly compared to most other games for the gamecube. Lots of eye candy.
Execution 8/10 Typical. No bugs, but the AI is kinda stupid(It still can beat you!).
Overall 7.5/10 Good. If you like racing games like Need for Speed, this will be fun. If you like games like Mario Kart, this will proably be maddening, with its incredibly high speed gameplay and 90 degree turns.
